During my time at OINK Digital, I had the privilege of collaborating closely with a client who has a background in industrial design. Together, we embarked on a journey to create a sophisticated and user-friendly e-commerce website for a watch brand. The project involved integrating the client’s design expertise with modern web development practices to achieve a seamless and visually appealing online presence.
Design Phase
The initial design was created in Figma, ensuring that every element was planned and aligned with the client’s vision. The design was inspired by leading watch sites, emphasising a clean and spacious layout that enhances user experience and showcases the products effectively. The client’s insights and feedback were pivotal in refining the design, resulting in a harmonious blend of professional aesthetics and practical functionality.
Development Phase
To achieve a fluid and responsive design, we decided to remove traditional breakpoints, especially for text elements, and opted for a more fluid layout that performs well on large monitors without being confined to typical containers. This approach ensured that the website maintained its visual integrity across various devices and screen sizes, providing a consistent and seamless user experience.
